Re: [diesel_mercedes] What to use to cover rear deck lid ?

I put a Walmart Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kit in, and then put a straw hat over that. Helps me identify the car, and I replace the hat every few years, and I can waer the hat if I need to do so.

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] What to use to cover rear deck lid ?

So my rear deck lid (area between rear window and reat seat) cover was toast when I bought my car so I through a peice of carpet there. Looked nice enough when I put it in, and when I pulled it out (this past Monday) three years later.

However, it is turning to blue dust. Really fine stuff that clings to what ever touches it, hands, sleave, coat, the car seats when removing it....

It seems like it did not like the intense heat and sunlight.

Has anyone replaced their deck lid cover and what did you use?

Looking for cheap, not crappy looking, and will take the heat and UV rays.

Many Thanks,
Steve
