[diesel_mercedes] Seatbelt light on 1980 300TD

 

I noticed a difference in my TD in the light arrangement.  The light is not marked and when starting the car the second from the right light seems to come on for the seat belt warning rather than the third as on my 240D's.  It also flashes randomly but seems to be linked to sometimes starting and stopping together with other electrical uses like using the brakes.  May be a bad relay or some other gremlin.  Anyone else had this same problem? I think I can hear a relay somewhere under the dash clicking with the light.  I disconnected the seat sensors to no avail.   Lawrence Rhodes
