[diesel_mercedes] Fuel injection delivery valve O-Ring, what I learned

Hello All

I know that most of you already know this, but there may be someone who will benefit from the fuel spill in my garage.

Let the car sit overnight before taking the fuel injector lines off or fuel pours our. Lots of it. If you are burning a WMO blend it will prevent you seeing some of the parts that you need to see.

I replaced two O-Rings then decided to run the car and check for leaks.
BIG MISTAKE. There were no leaks until I went back to work on the other four O-rings.

Check all vacuum lines near wherever your hands & arms were.

Rodger

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Clever Mayor

The last few seconds of the clip exemplify the mayor's true qualifications.

The car could not have been towed off instead of crushed? The guy who owned the Merc had no political juice, unlike the RR and sports car owners.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Oh , NO !

Yup, we'll let Nate have the fungus, and we'll have the girls.

It's a wee more complicated than ' pull it out of the pumkin ' .

Point # 1 : _I_ didn't post that .

Point # 2 : ' if it's not broken , fix it 'til it is ' (Bubba's Motto)

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Oh , NO !

It's not just fungus Rob ;

Any vehicle I drive , has the worst , most terrible fuel crud issues you'll _EVER_ experiance .

I don't understand why but always it has been so . ask Tom .

His old IHC 88 passeger schoolbus clogged it's 150 gllon fuel tank inlet in Nebraska where there was us , asphalt and corn to the horizon in every direction.....

I just deal with it and try to always carry spare fuel filters & bits of hose .

It's one of those curse / blessing things because I have learned to deal with it and I keep meeting new & interesting people as I'm by the side of the road or in some far away gas station , abandoned parkng lot , etc. doing my thing .
