We must not have many pontoon owners on this board. If I go back to an older Benz it will be a pontoon. I have owned both a 180b and a 190b, both great cars. The 180 was my first car.
Nate's right about finding a good one cheap. There would not be a reason to go for the one you found on the lot, even if they gave it to you. Can't tell you the number of times I have bit on a serious fixer upper and the money I blew down the drain trying to bring it back. I suppose if you could do it all yourself, you might be able to make one like this work, but that's not even likely.
I do expect these cars to start moving up in value. I am guessing that this one is either a 219b or 220b with six cylinder engines. Were it to be a fuel injected 6 cylinder it might be worth a try, but it would need to be really cheap and could not have any rust through on the body.
