Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Holy Cow price difference!

Are you sure they were made in Japan?  We have a Koyo right around the corner from where I live :)

For what it's worth, I beginning to have suspicion about all auto parts.  I recently bought a couple of 207 ball bearings.  I wanted quality, and they came in factory-sealed Timken boxes.  When I opened the boxes, the bearings inside were made by Koyo, in Japan..

Wow that is a huge difference in price! mercedessource is sorta in between...their kit includes a transmission mount and is about $65 https://mercedessource.com/node/762

I'm wondering if there is any difference in the quality of rubber...and am hoping the group will weigh in. I'm going to have to replace mine soon...my mechanic said they were pretty worn, but the PO said she had them changed (since Feb).

So I'm wondering if they got changed with used ones...or maybe there are motor mounts that are cheap but don't last long?
