Hey y'all, my 82 240D clutch is starting to shimmy on first gear start from complete stop. It doesn't do it every time but often enough to make me think it's near the end of its life. This is the second clutch for the car according to my records (I have them all the way back to original purchase receipt). First clutch made it to 70k, now this one has around 60k. So I'm prepping for a new clutch job. My main question is regarding the flywheel -- am I going to have trouble with it being too thin if it's been turned once already? Any other issues you guys can think of? Last clutch I worked on was out of a 1971 Dodge Demon, and that was back in, let's see...1976! I guess the 240D engines have a rear seal that should be replaced, and throwout bearing? I don't know what other items should be replaced during the job. Thanks for your help.
Jim
