the car was bought and driven in Germany till 1988 when the first owner moved it here . i wonder if that just set it up for more rust. being it is a lot more moist there than it is here in Colorado. rogo

Go to Mercedessource and look at their video on saving rust spots. Clean it up and use Miracle Paint, maybe over some patch if necessary. Small stuff can be saved. Take the door panel off anyway and give it a good once over. I think most everyone has some rust in their door bottoms. But, in the west we normally don't have too many holes.

Behind the front right tire near the bottom of the door. About a quarter size mark . Then some small pin head size stuff in the paint spaced out all over the car. Thanks for the inquiry. Any help is greatly appreciated. Rogo
