It's interesting that since we got a 2011 VW TDI automatic our driving
habits have changed. The TDI has a fuel consumption read out in real
time. What we have noticed is shorter shifts and no acceleration except
when necessary produces the greatest results. I try to transfer that to
the 83 240D when I drive it and it does produce results.
