Ya know, I think I know what you're talking about.  But I don't think I own a 23mm wrench.  Got a 20mm and a 32, but I just don't think I have a 23.  Have to try my metric crescent wrench on it when I do the filters on the 300SD.

So remember, if you happen to lose your 23mm wrench, your bike filter strap wrench will work for you..

There's a big 23 MM bolt you're supposed to unscrew from the top , then the filter spins off by hand....

I'm sorry you lost such a good spouse .
