I think the OP was more concerned about choices which in the 14" are
pretty limited. I went with a 205 65 15 on the 240 and the 300SDL and
they felt "beefier". The factory is closest to 205 70 14 as the OP
says. The 205 15 gives you much more choices. But you have to get new
rims of course! The factory MB rims off the W126 in 1986> are 15" and
there are lots of them around. One time hit for more choices on
tires?? YMMV.
