I'm finding out that the turbo engine has oil sprayed under the piston to cool it and the compression need to be lower but I thought that was on gas motors does the diesel take a higher compression to run I though that it was that way but I now nothing, thanks anyway.

The non-turbo engine has 23:1 cr, the turbo engine is 21:1, I think the difference is in the pistons.. bk

Date: Monday, April 4, 2011, 3:57 PMHi guys
I just found my self buying a 1979 300d 123
and then I found a turbo set up all the parts are there everything off a 79 turbo 300D what's the chance I can put it on my car with not a lot of trouble.
Is there a big difference between the two engines? Please someone give me some good news. Thank you for any advice you could give.
