There is an oil rail along the left side of the engine. (The side with the oil filter.) Inside the crankcase there are 5 holes machined into this oil passage and into these holes are mounted sprayers that spray a small stream continuously onto the underside of the pistons. These are not the scoops like they have in lawnmower engines.
