Re: [diesel_mercedes] 83 300d No Air Coming from Center Vents

Hi Michael,

There is a vacuum pod right under the dash, above the vents, that
controls the flap. It's probably leaking and needs replacing, though
you'll have to pull the dash to get to it. I just pried open the flap
with a screwdriver and put a stick in there to hold it open. When I have
to pull the dash some day I'll replace all the pods, until then, I'll
use the stick.

There must be some type of valve because I can feel very little of the cool air (air conditioner turned on) but a flap or something is turned off. Does anyone know where the valve controlling the center vent is? I am also willing to just manually flip the lever to let the cool air out. I actually don't care if it is permanently stuck open so I can get air out.
