This explains a lot.
I have gotten as much as 30 mpg in the past.
Right now I'm getting about 22 and can't figure out why.
I just replaced and balanced the i/p and timed it by the book.
Put in my best 5 injectors.
Did the valves.
It runs fantastic! But my mileage is still in the low 20's.
The good mileage was in the bad snowy weather when I had to go slow.
Bogy.
btw, my rubber "throttle" linkage connector tore on me last summer. Fortunately I have a parts car and a lot of parts.
