What's interesting/weird/ironic is that "Lucas" means "luminous", as in, gives off light.

Furthermore, a variation is "Lucifer", "bringer of light".  Of course, we all know what the Biblical Lucifer became....

I worked for an MG dealer out of Hi School, The fun poked at lucas has a
long and distinguished history:

Lucas, the greatest ally to the Germans in WW2.

Lucas, prince of darkness.

Lucas electronics actually work on smoke, not electrons. Letting the smoke
out is a bad thing. Gray smoke means a minor problem, black smoke means buy
a new vehicle.
