I'm surprised no one answered this :
Use a paper clip or needle nose pliers to bridge the two furthest apart terminals , be _SURE_ the car is in park as it'll lunge forward if it starts....
If this , done repeatedly , makes the starter crank , your battery & starter are O.K. ~ time to look at key switch (electrical portion) and neutral safety switch down on the side of the tranny whwere you can see but barely touch it...
