I've had a couple of new door seals laying around for a while and today I decided to remove and replace my wife's (Martha) driver front door seal (passenger front was done a couple of months ago).
But when I removed the old one, I wished I had waited to get some Miracle Paint - because even here in sunny California water seeps to the bottom of the door and rusts out poorly painted metal. The car has 300,000 miles and the doors will outlast me - but I still wished I had the paint handy when I pulled the old seal as it would be a simple fix at the time. Makes me think that, if it can happen in sunny Cali, the bottom of most 25+ year old doors in the rest of the country will be showing some rust.
