Its the other factor, the lightness of brain power of the typical SUV driver,  Most seem to have bought into the go anywhere fiction.  Most people with old pickups have a different mindset.

Body shops all say no and I wasn't able to make a good job of it my ownself so I'm still looking for those elusive white ones that are not curbed .

Meanwhilst I have some close color matches now , they look O.K. for the moment .

Hope springs eternal when you cruise P-A-P on a semi - regular basis as I do .
