[diesel_mercedes] Re: Roll start

Yes but , it's _NOT_ like starting a gas engine ~ it take WAY more
speed and lots of space , you cannot do it in the City on your block ~
it take a boulevard that's steep or have someone pushing you up to
well over 35 MPH ~

I tried it on the freeway in _both_ my Diesels , a 240 and a 300 ,
both of which start instantly on the key , neither one would start @
50 MPH whem I tried it but they sure did slow down fast...

If you look at the solenoid on top of the starter , there's two
connections : one is the battery cable and t'other is the starter
signal wire , bridge them with a dime and your sterter should begine
to crank ~ if not , you really do have a starter issue .

If you try roll starting it , have a buddy push you in neutral up to
40 + mph then he should brake hard and beep or flash his lights to let
you know to shift into L , foot to the floor , it should start right
up .
