dispensing pump where the station operator can easily ignore it......
When you consider the amount of fuel pumped daily , they'd have to
change them (the filters) every 48 hours or so tp prevent them from
clogging up and then the internal by-pass valve opens , allowing dirty
unfiltered fuel out anyways...
Just for fun take a lumber crayon to your local truckstop and mark the
date in a hard to see place on the outside of that long filter on the
pump , see how long it takes before they change it .
